bulging balls

Went into OT for the 1st time ... damn, was it fun.

You had to literally strip down to your underwear and put on their blue pants and shirt complete with a mask and shower cap. How unfortunate that it wasn't a unisex changing room.

There were 2 operations going on. Thyroidectomy and Hernia Repair.

Couldn't get to witness the thyroidectomy as there were too many kiasu pricks inside the theatre. Got halau-ed very nicely by the staff nurse in charge.

Managed to see the hernia one though. This guy was wheeled in with this extremely huge bulge in his scrotum like what happens when you pump water into a balloon. That's how massive it was. Surgeon definitely looked like he had a great time making an incision and then pulling out the omentum before stuffing the whole lot back in. I could do that too.

Patient wasn't even on general anaesthesia the whole time. Just an epidural and you get a patient ranting about how he can't sleep while someone else's playing with his guts.
